Contracting for New Agents

CARRIER CONTRACTING PROCESS

  • Your Manager will email you the Carrier Contracting Packet via DOCUSIGN.

  • Complete the Packet via DocuSign and be sure to include the attachments listed on the first page checklist, using the "paperclip" icons.

  • Print the Carrier Contracting Checklist above and use to track your SureLC/Surancebay submittals.

  • You will receive the SureLC/Surancebay emails after your Contracting Packet has been submitted and approved.

  • Refer to last section below for common questions when completing your SureLC/Surancebay profiles for each carrier.

ANTI-MONEY LAUDERING - Required for Contracting

  • The certificate must be from Reg-Ed even if you have a certificate from another company.

  • Select  Opt-Out of CE credits option so the course is FREE. You should not pay a fee for the AML course.

  • You will not be able to "download" a certificate. You will need to do a "print screen" and save as PDF. ​

ERRORS & OMMISSIONS INSURANCE

  • E&O Insurance is a professional liability policy.

  • We recommend 360 to obtain your E&O Insurance.

  • Several of our carriers require E&O Insurance.

PRE-APPOINTMENT STATES

COMMON QUESTIONS WHEN COMPLETING YOUR SURANCEBAY EMAILS​​

  • Commissions should be paid DAILY.

  • You should be paid ADVANCED commissions (not AS EARNED)

  • Who orders paramedical exams? "Agent"

  • Who is my beneficiary: This is required so that if you die before commissions are paid, the commissions will be paid to your beneficiary. Enter your Spouse or another family member.

  • Are you submitting new business or a new application? "NO"

  • Name of Primary Final Expense Carrier? "Mutual of Omaha"

  • How much business do you plan on submitting? $25,000 to $200,000 (you decide!)

  • Will you be selling LTC (long-term care) Rider? "NO"
